Office De-Fit & Make Good in a Highly Sensitive Environment
SCOPE
The scope of work for the office de-fit and make-good project at L16 & 17, 167 Macquarie Street involved a highly sensitive environment. The existing floor finishes, including vinyl, carpet, and tiles, were removed and disposed of throughout the space. Fixed joinery, equipment, workstations, kitchens, utilities, fixtures, fittings, comms rack, and other items were also removed and disposed of. The existing ceiling grid, tiles, plasterboard, glass, glass cladding in the lift lobby area, and doors & frames were removed and disposed of. Redundant services were eliminated, and loose furniture was disposed of. Additionally, showers, sinks, mirrors, fittings, towel racks, wall tiles in showers, lockers, and kitchenette joinery and fixtures were removed and disposed of. The staircase between levels 16 & 17 was demolished and removed. Existing lighting was disconnected, and floor grinding was done to the entire floor removing excess cement bed screed and waterproofing membrane. Floor protection was implemented on Level 17 to ensure the project's smooth execution.
