Amenities Upgrade and Concrete Works

The project at Our Lady Of Nativity Primary School in Lawson involved BXD making amendments to the facilities including amenities, classrooms and access ramps to accommodate children with disabilities. This work had a strict timeline for completion during the school holiday period to ensure access was ready for the start of the 2024 school year. The scope of work in this project involved the complete strip out of the male and female amenities, along with demolishing the existing floor slab within the bathrooms to match the external verandah. It also required cutting out brickwork to widen the doorways around the school premises in order for the facilities to be accessible by wheelchair. BXD was also engaged to demolish the existing concrete ramp in the play area which we achieved using an excavator with a rock breaker attachment to make way for a new compliant concrete ramp. We are proud to contribute to a project dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with disabilities, making their school experience more accessible and enjoyable.
