SCOPE

Retail Shop De-fit & Make-Good

BXD Projects was privileged to undertake the de-fit of a Champion store at the renowned Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, tasked with preparing the space for the incoming tenant, LSKD. Despite a two-week deadline, our proficient team impressively completed the project in just 6 days, significantly advancing our stakeholders' schedule.

The project entailed the meticulous demolition and removal of a large shopfront, nearly 8 meters in height, adorned with commercial glass panels extending up to 4 meters. Employing an Elevated Work Platform (EWP), our experts skillfully navigated this task, prioritizing safety and compliance throughout the operation at such heights. In addition to the physical de-fit, BXD Projects also managed the coordination of service disconnections and the reinstatement of plasterboard on the inter-tenancy walls, ensuring a seamless transition to a bare shell state.

Positioned in a bustling area, the project demanded that all work be conducted outside of normal trading hours, introducing unique challenges, particularly with the lack of after-hours recycling facilities nearby. To overcome this, our team devised an innovative solution by organizing waste removal during the night and coordinating early morning disposals, ensuring no delay in our progress despite the logistical constraints.

This strategic approach not only underscored our team's ability to adapt and innovate in response to unforeseen challenges but also highlighted our commitment to delivering projects efficiently without compromising on quality or safety. The early completion of the Champion store de-fit, coupled with the careful coordination of service disconnections and wall reinstatements, is a testament to BXD Projects' dedication to excellence, setting a new standard for retail space transformation while facilitating a smooth transition for LSKD to commence their fit-out.
